Guwahati: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has announced a special relief measure to help students who lost their academic documents in the recent floods by issuing duplicate copies free of cost.
Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said the initiative covers students from Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Golaghat who lost HSLC, AHM and Higher Secondary examination documents, including pass certificates, marksheets, admit cards and registration cards.
“To support students who lost their academic documents in the recent floods, Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has decided to issue duplicate HSLC/AHM & HS Final Pass Certificates, Admit Cards, Marksheets and Registration Cards free of cost,” Pegu said in a post on X.
Students can apply online through the SEBA Services portal for HSLC/AHM documents and the AHSEC portal for Higher Secondary documents. As part of the special relief, ASSEB has also waived the requirement for a police report. Applicants will only need to upload a self-declaration confirming that their documents were lost in the floods.
The board said the one-time fee waiver is intended to help affected students recover their academic records quickly and without financial burden.
