BJP leaders hail Narendra Modi’s leadership, highlighting infrastructure growth, national security and the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’
New Delhi: As the Narendra Modi government completed 12 years in office on Monday, senior BJP leaders described the period as a turning point in India’s political, economic and strategic evolution.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said May 26, 2014, marked the beginning of a “new era of governance and national resolve” when Narendra Modi first assumed office as Prime Minister. In a social media post, Singh credited the government with accelerating infrastructure development, strengthening India’s security framework and enhancing the country’s global standing.
“India has progressed with unprecedented speed and scale under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership,” Singh stated, adding that the government’s approach had made the country “stronger, prouder and more self-confident.”
He also said the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” had shaped governance and policymaking over the past decade.
Joining the occasion, BJP president Nitin Nabin described the last 12 years as a phase of “national self-confidence and cultural resurgence.” He said the Modi government had laid the groundwork for the larger vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047.”
Nabin further highlighted the Centre’s focus on national security, saying India today stands “secure and capable” with a firm response mechanism against terrorism and external threats.
He also pointed to the government’s emphasis on balancing development with cultural identity through the vision of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi,” stating that several welfare and infrastructure policies had been transformed into “instruments of change” over the years.
