Directed by Monjul Baruah and Snigdha P. Roy respectively, the two films feature alongside major entries such as Baksho Bondi, Victoria, Flowers of Acacia, Boong, and The Elysian Field. Their inclusion signals growing national and global attention towards Assamese storytelling.

In terms of nominations, Romantic Affairs has been shortlisted for Best Film and Best Actress for Kasvi Sonkorison. Meanwhile, Aakuti has earned nominations for Best Debut Film and Best Child Actor for Kavisha Mahanta.

Reacting to the achievement, producer Sanjive Narain said, “This moment feels truly special… a reminder of why we began this journey.” Similarly, executive producer Tanuja P. Roy described the recognition as “just the beginning.”
