Court to hear pleas on frozen bank accounts, Singapore investigation report and other pending petitions, while bail hearing of two accused bodyguards is deferred

Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court fixed August 13 as the next date of hearing in the Zubeen Garg murder case after hearing a petition filed by Shyamkanu Mahanta and considering submissions from the parties.
On the next hearing, the court will also take up three separate petitions filed by Siddhartha Sharma relating to the ongoing investigation and legal proceedings. One petition seeks the de-freezing of bank accounts frozen during the investigation, another requests access to the investigation report received from Singapore, while the third concerns issues arising from the ongoing proceedings in the case.
The High Court is also scheduled to hear a separate petition filed by Mahabir Aqua. Meanwhile, the hearing on the bail applications of two bodyguards accused in the case has been deferred. The matter will now be heard by the court of Mitali Thakuria on the next scheduled date.
Several petitions connected to the investigation and other legal issues in the Zubeen Garg murder case remain pending before the Gauhati High Court.
