East Khasi Hills administration imposes BNSS Section 163 ahead of a KSU protest rally in Shillong following recent violence
Shillong: The East Khasi Hills district administration has imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) ahead of a proposed protest rally by the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) in Shillong on Friday.
The move comes against the backdrop of recent violence during a KSU rally in Shillong, prompting authorities to strengthen security arrangements and take preventive measures to maintain public order.
Security personnel have been deployed at the proposed protest locations, while heightened vigilance is being maintained across Shillong to prevent any further untoward incidents.
