Guwahati: A major fire broke out near the District Industries and Commerce Office in Diphu, triggering panic after several LPG cylinders reportedly exploded as the blaze spread through the area.
The fire rapidly engulfed nearby residential houses, reportedly leaving multiple families with their homes completely gutted. Several cooking gas cylinders are also said to have exploded, intensifying the flames and making firefighting operations more challenging.
Firefighters and emergency personnel were deployed to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. Authorities are expected to assess the extent of the damage and investigate the circumstances that led to the outbreak.
