Education Minister Ranoj Pegu says the initiative will strengthen classroom learning, with teachers to receive online training on digital teaching methods
Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has announced the introduction of a recorded teaching system for students from Classes 9 to 12 as part of efforts to strengthen the learning process across schools.
The initiative will use technology to supplement classroom teaching and provide students in secondary and higher secondary classes with a more structured learning experience.
Under the new system, recorded lessons will be made available to support teaching and learning in the higher classes. The move is expected to help students access lessons in a more organised manner while providing additional support to classroom instruction.
Teachers will also receive online training to familiarise themselves with the recorded teaching system and digital learning methods. The training will focus on helping educators effectively integrate the technology into their classroom teaching.
Pegu said the teacher training would be conducted through an online mode, enabling educators to understand the system and its implementation across schools in Assam.
The initiative comes as Assam continues to expand the use of technology in education, with a focus on improving learning outcomes and strengthening support for both students and teachers.
