Assam HS Results 2026 to be Declared on April 28

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirms date; students to check scores online

Guwahati: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) will announce the Class 12 (Higher Secondary) examination results on April 28, bringing an end to the wait for thousands of students across the state.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the date on Thursday through a post on X, extending his wishes to candidates. “The Higher Secondary results will be declared on April 28. My best wishes to all students,” he said.

The results will cover all three streams—Science, Arts, and Commerce. Once released, students can access their marks online by entering their roll numbers on the official websites of ASSEB and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).

Notably, the examinations were conducted between February 11 and March 16 this year. The timeline closely follows last year’s schedule, when results were declared on April 30.

Meanwhile, the announcement holds significant importance for students planning their next academic or career steps. In 2025, more than three lakh candidates appeared for the exams, with an overall pass percentage of 86.49 per cent. Girls slightly outperformed boys in terms of success rate.

As the result date approaches, authorities are expected to ensure smooth access to online platforms to avoid technical disruptions. Students are advised to keep their credentials ready for quick access once the results go live.
