The singer says the shows will support people affected by the devastating floods in Assam and Nepal
Guwahati: Singer Vishal Mishra has announced plans to hold concerts in Assam and Nepal, with the entire proceeds from both shows to be donated to flood relief efforts.
Mishra announced on Instagram, saying he was deeply affected by the devastation caused by the floods and wanted to contribute to relief efforts. He captioned the post, “Stay strong, will do whatever I can individually, Har Har Mahadev.”
“My heart is heavy seeing what’s happening, so I have made a decision. I will perform a concert in Nepal and a concert in Assam. Every single penny will go towards flood relief and the people affected,” he wrote, adding that further details would be announced soon.
Mishra’s announcement comes as Nepal continues to deal with the aftermath of severe floods, rainfall and landslides. The August 26 disaster along the Tibet border has reportedly killed more than 600 people, while thousands remain missing.
