The roadmap targets 10,000 overseas placements, 10,000 apprenticeships and support for 500 MSMEs every year
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on August 29, unveiled the Arunachal Human Capital & Economic Transformation Vision 2036 and the Arun MSME Mission, aimed at expanding employment, entrepreneurship and global opportunities for the state’s youth.
In a video posted on X, Khandu said Vision 2036 would focus on building a workforce capable of competing in national and international markets.
The roadmap targets training 1 lakh youths, supporting 10,000 entrepreneurs, facilitating 10,000 apprenticeships and creating 10,000 overseas placement opportunities. It also proposes 100 industry partnerships and the transformation of all 10 Industrial Training Institutes into modern skill hubs and centres of excellence.
Under the Arun MSME Mission, 500 MSMEs will be supported every year through business revival, capacity upgrades, market linkages and export assistance. Khandu said the initiatives would strengthen local enterprises, generate employment and promote youth-led economic growth.
Describing Vision 2036 as a pathway towards a “future-ready workforce” and “globally competitive entrepreneurs”, he said the state would focus on equipping young people with skills suited to emerging opportunities. “The youth who get skills today will scale the growth of Arunachal tomorrow,” Khandu said.
