Sixteen departments offer on-the-spot services, health screenings, registrations and welfare assistance at Boleng as part of the Centre’s 12 Years of Trust, Development and Public Welfare campaign

Siang: In a major public outreach initiative, the Siang district administration organised a Jan Kalyan Shivir at Unying-Aran Hall in Boleng, bringing a wide range of government services directly to residents under the nationwide campaign marking 12 Years of Trust, Development and Public Welfare.
The programme was attended by Arunachal Pradesh Rural Development Minister Ojing Tasing, along with PRI representatives, community leaders and beneficiaries from across the district.
A total of 16 government departments and allied agencies participated, offering on-the-spot registrations, awareness programmes and citizen-centric services. The Health Department conducted screenings for hypertension, diabetes and cancer, besides facilitating PMJAY and ABHA registrations. A Mega Free Eye Check-Up Camp emerged as one of the key attractions, drawing a large number of residents.
Meanwhile, departments showcased flagship schemes covering agriculture, rural development, women and child welfare, banking inclusion, food security, housing, transport, elections and skill development. Self-Help Groups also received support through product exhibitions, registrations and financial literacy initiatives.
Officials said the camp was aimed at strengthening last-mile delivery of welfare schemes and ensuring that citizens could access multiple services under one roof.
The strong public response, they added, reflected growing awareness about government programmes and reinforced efforts to make governance more accessible, inclusive and responsive.
