Helipads, roads, schools, tourism and civic facilities rolled out across the Nacho–Kodukha–Limeking region to strengthen frontier development

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday inaugurated a series of key infrastructure projects and laid foundation stones for multiple new works across Taksing and the wider Nacho–Kodukha–Limeking belt, reinforcing development in some of the state’s most remote border areas near Tibet.
Calling border infrastructure a national priority, Khandu said, “Development must reach the very last village at the frontier. Strong roads, connectivity, institutions and services are not just projects; they bring opportunity, confidence and dignity to our people.”

Among the projects inaugurated were a new helipad at Kodukha ADC headquarters, multipurpose halls and community centres at Taksing and nearby villages, indoor sports and cultural facilities, tourist lodges, school buildings, administrative offices, transit camps, and several road improvement works, including upgrades to the strategic Nacho–Limeking stretch. Trekking routes and wayside amenities were also introduced to promote eco-tourism and local livelihoods.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Isiri Resort at Taksing, located near the confluence of the Subansiri and Ismi rivers. Featuring scenic surroundings and a trout pond, the resort aims to blend tourism with sustainable income opportunities for residents.
Foundation stones were laid for additional connectivity and administrative projects, including staff quarters, circuit houses, internal roads, and new rural road links, further strengthening last-mile access.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister attended the “Seva Aapke Dwar” camp, bringing governance and essential services directly to villagers. The initiative enabled access to documentation, welfare enrolments, grievance redressal, and health and social benefits without long travel.
“A developed border village means a stronger nation,” the Arunachal CM said while addressing a public gathering, reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusive frontier development.
