New Delhi: : India batter Smriti Mandhana has become the first woman cricketer to cross 11,000 international runs, reaching the landmark during India’s Asian Games final against Sri Lanka.
Mandhana marked the milestone with a commanding 79 off 45 balls, hitting five fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of 175.56. Her innings helped India post 216/3 after opting to bat first.
The left-hander has scored 4,867 runs in 179 women’s T20Is and 5,411 runs in 120 ODIs. In Tests, she has accumulated 788 runs from nine matches, taking her international tally to 11,066 runs across 308 appearances.
Mandhana also extended her record as the leading run-scorer and century-maker in women’s international cricket, with 18 centuries.
She shared a 99-run opening partnership with Shafali Verma, who scored 48 off 29 balls. Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 19, while Richa Ghosh provided a late surge with an unbeaten 49 off 22 deliveries as India reached 216/3.
The landmark adds another record to Mandhana’s international career as India compete for the Asian Games title.
