Singer to feature on Teutonic Titans 1976–2026, sharing space with global metal legends

Gangtok: In a major moment for Indian rock, Sikkim-born vocalist Girish Pradhan has been selected to feature on German heavy metal band Accept’s 50th anniversary album, ‘Teutonic Titans 1976–2026‘, scheduled for release on September 4. Notably, he is the only Indian artist on the project.
Pradhan, best known as the frontman of Girish and the Chronicles, will perform Accept’s iconic 1981 track “Breaker.” Consequently, his inclusion places him alongside over 50 internationally renowned artists, including Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Kirk Hammett of Metallica, as well as members associated with bands like Pantera, Scorpions, and Ghost.
His entry into the project came through his long-standing collaboration with American guitarist Joel Hoekstra. Their professional association, developed through earlier work under Frontiers Records, played a crucial role in opening this global platform.
Meanwhile, Accept, widely credited as pioneers of speed metal, have curated the album by re-recording 19 classic tracks with guest performers spanning generations. This approach not only celebrates their legacy but also bridges eras within the genre.
For Pradhan, the achievement reflects a steady international rise. His band has built a strong European presence through tours and albums such as Rock the Highway and Hail to the Heroes. They have also shared stages with major acts like Guns N’ Roses.
Industry observers believe this milestone signals growing global recognition for Indian rock artists. As a result, Pradhan’s presence on the album marks a significant step in connecting India’s independent music scene with the global heavy metal mainstream.
