NPP delegation submits memorandum to Manipur Chief Minister ahead of party’s annual convention, focusing on development and regional cooperation
Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh and Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People’s Party (NPP) president Conrad K. Sangma met on Friday, reaffirming their commitment to sustainable development and inclusive growth in the region.
Sangma, accompanied by NPP Manipur president Lorho S. Pfoze, Minister Kh. Loken Singh and party MLAs, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister’s official residence in Imphal.
During the meeting, the NPP delegation submitted a memorandum outlining the party’s priorities and aspirations. Khemchand Singh assured the delegation that the proposals would receive prompt consideration.
“I am confident that we will continue to honour our shared values and common vision for sustainable development and inclusive growth,” the Chief Minister said in a social media post.
Earlier in the day, Sangma inaugurated the new office of the NPP Manipur state unit at Mantripukhri, describing it as a significant milestone in strengthening the party’s organisational presence in the state. He later chaired a closed-door meeting with party MLAs and office-bearers as part of his two-day visit ahead of the NPP’s annual convention in Manipur.
