Nagaland is likely to see continued monsoon activity, with rain, thunderstorms and lightning forecast across several districts till August 25

Dimapur: Active monsoon conditions are likely to continue across Nagaland till August 25, with light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning expected in several parts of the state.
According to the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), thunderstorms accompanied by rain and lightning are likely in Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Longleng, Mokokchung, Kohima, Peren and Tseminyu. Other districts may receive light rainfall at a few places.
The district-wise rainfall probability forecast for August 21 to 25 indicates the highest cumulative rainfall probability in Mokokchung at 102.51 mm, followed by Longleng at 100.59 mm and Mon at 93.58 mm.
The weather conditions are expected to remain active as the monsoon continues over the state, with residents in vulnerable areas advised to remain alert.
Authorities have urged people to exercise caution during thunderstorms and lightning and follow official weather updates and disaster-management advisories.
