Chief Minister Lalduhoma says proposed assistance would support the MADC’s administrative functioning and financial stability
Aizwal: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma said the state government is considering a one-time financial grant for the Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC) to help address its ongoing financial difficulties.
Speaking at the inauguration of a new Deputy Commissioner’s Office building in Siaha on Friday, Lalduhoma said the proposed assistance would help ease the council’s financial strain and strengthen its administrative functioning.
The Chief Minister stressed the need to strengthen governance in the MADC and called for collective support for government initiatives aimed at promoting stability and development in the region.
Lalduhoma also highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts to accelerate development in Siaha district, saying effective administration would play a key role in achieving long-term progress.
The proposed grant comes as the MADC continues to face financial challenges, with the state government considering additional support to help the autonomous council maintain its administrative responsibilities.
