The Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma felicitated boxer Lovlina Borgohain and presented her a Rs 30 lakh cheque for her Commonwealth Games silver medal
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma felicitated boxer Lovlina Borgohain in recognition of her silver medal-winning performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
As part of the felicitation, the Chief Minister presented Borgohain with a cheque of Rs 30 lakh in recognition of her achievement. Borgohain, who secured the silver medal in the women’s boxing event in Glasgow, has been widely praised for her performance at the Games.
In a special gesture during the felicitation, the boxer presented two Commonwealth Games jerseys to the Chief Minister. The achievement adds another major milestone to Borgohain’s international boxing career and has been celebrated across Assam.
