The testing agency termed reports of leaked or sold NEET-UG 2026 re-exam question papers as “false and fraudulent” and announced legal action against those spreading misinformation

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has categorically denied reports alleging a leak, advance access, or sale of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination question paper, calling such claims “false, fraudulent, and intended to mislead” candidates.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the agency said organised cheating networks were circulating fabricated messages on social media and messaging platforms to exploit students and parents. According to NTA, these groups are attempting to sell fake question papers and illegally collect money from anxious aspirants.
“Every such claim circulating is a fabrication,” the agency said, stressing that the examination process remains secure.
NTA maintained that stringent safeguards are in place and that no unauthorised individual has access to the question paper. “The integrity of the examination process is fully intact, and every safeguard is in place to ensure a fair and secure examination for all candidates,” it stated.
The agency further revealed that it is tracking and reporting social media accounts, online channels and groups involved in spreading misinformation. Complaints have also been lodged with cyber-crime and law-enforcement authorities for action against those responsible.
Advising candidates to remain cautious, NTA urged students and parents not to engage with anyone claiming to provide access to examination papers.
“Your hard work is what matters, and NTA stands committed to conducting a fair, secure, and credible examination,” the agency said, urging aspirants to rely only on official updates issued through authorised NTA platforms.
