BJP Registers Strong Wins Across Key Assam Seats With Massive Margins

From Tangla to Khumtai, BJP candidates secure decisive victories with margins crossing 50,000 in multiple constituencies

Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) delivered a commanding performance across several key constituencies in Assam, securing emphatic victories with large vote margins after the completion of counting rounds.

In Tangla (48), Bikan Chandra Deka emerged victorious with 84,309 votes, registering a massive 54,601-vote margin after all 21 rounds. Similarly, in Dhemaji (78), Dr. Ranoj Pegu secured 83,649 votes, winning by a strong 32,229-vote margin across 17 rounds.

Sissibargaon (79) saw Jiban Gogoi dominate with 75,758 votes, defeating rivals by 40,593 votes after 19 rounds. In Majuli (98), Bhuban Gam polled 78,324 votes, recording a 35,300-vote margin with all 14 rounds completed.

Further strengthening the party’s position, Mrinal Saikia secured a landslide in Khumtai (106), garnering 91,127 votes and winning by a remarkable 58,412 votes after 18 rounds of counting.

These results highlight a strong consolidation of voter support for the BJP across multiple regions. Moreover, the consistently high margins indicate strong grassroots mobilisation and sustained electoral dominance in these constituencies.
