Jyotirmay Das from Sankardev Sishu Niketan, Patacharkuchi, secures first rank; Education Minister Ranoj Pegu praises students for their dedication and hard work

Guwahati: : The Assam HSLC Examination 2026 results have spotlighted outstanding academic performances, with Jyotirmay Das from Sankardev Sishu Niketan, Patacharkuchi in Barpeta district securing the first rank with 591 marks.
The second position was claimed by Akankha Bhuyan of Ambikagiri Rai Choudhuri Jatiya Vidyalaya, Biswanath, who scored 589 marks. The third rank was jointly shared by Jia Farah Islam from Little Flower HS School, Dibrugarh, and Surjit Akhtar from Little Flowers School, Nalbari, both scoring 588 marks.
The merit list reflects a strong academic showing from students across districts, highlighting consistency and competitiveness in this year’s results.
Congratulating the achievers, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu praised their efforts and dedication. In a message shared publicly, he said, “Heartiest congratulations to the top three rank holders of HSLC Examination 2026 for their outstanding achievement. Your hard work, discipline, and dedication have truly paid off. Wishing you all continued success and a bright future ahead.”
The minister further emphasised the importance of perseverance and discipline, encouraging students to maintain the same commitment as they progress in their academic journey.
