Assam cricketers Uma Chetry and Jintimani Kalita have been selected for India A Women’s squads for the Australia A series

Guwahati: Assam cricketers Uma Chetry and Jintimani Kalita have earned selection in the India A Women’s squads for the upcoming series against Australia A, prompting congratulations from the Assam Cricket Association (ACA).
Wicketkeeper-batter Uma Chetry has been named in both the T20 and one-day squads, while all-rounder Jintimani Kalita has secured a place across all three formats, including the four-day multi-day game.
The tour will begin with a three-match T20 series in New Chandigarh from September 12 to 17. The one-day series will follow at the PCA Stadium in Mohali from September 20 to 25, before the tour concludes with a four-day match in Dharamsala from September 29 to October 2.
The ACA congratulated both players and wished them success in their upcoming assignment. ACA secretary Sanjatan Das said their selection was a significant achievement and reflected the growing presence of Assam cricketers in the national setup.
The selections mark another step forward for the two Assam players as they join the India A setup for the multi-format assignment against Australia A.
