Tai Tagak Files Nomination for Arunachal Pradesh’s Lone Rajya Sabha Seat

Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy CM Chowna Mein and senior BJP leaders accompany party candidate during nomination filing in Itanagar

Itanagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formally launched its campaign for Arunachal Pradesh’s lone Rajya Sabha seat as party nominee Tai Tagak filed his nomination papers at the State Legislative Assembly in Itanagar.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu accompanied Tagak during the filing process, alongside Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, State BJP President Kaling Moyong, Arunachal Pradesh BJP in-charge Ashok Singhal, cabinet colleagues, party workers and supporters.

Sharing details of the event, Khandu expressed confidence in Tagak’s ability to represent Arunachal Pradesh effectively in the Upper House of Parliament.

“Shri Tai Tagak Ji brings vast experience, deep understanding of our State, and an unwavering commitment to the people of Arunachal Pradesh. He will be a strong voice for our State in the Rajya Sabha,” Khandu said.

The Chief Minister also extended his best wishes to the BJP candidate, expressing hope for a successful tenure dedicated to advancing the interests of Arunachal Pradesh and contributing to national development.

Tagak’s nomination comes ahead of the biennial Rajya Sabha elections scheduled later this month. With the BJP enjoying a dominant position in the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly, his candidature is expected to receive strong backing from the ruling party.
