Pijush Hazarika Leads Jagiroad with a Huge Margin: Heads for Landslide Victory

BJP candidate maintains a commanding edge over Congress rival Bubul Das as counting nears completion in key Assam constituency

Jagiroad: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pijush Hazarika is firmly on course for a massive win from the Jagiroad Assembly constituency, leading by an overwhelming margin of over 80,000 votes as counting progresses.

According to the latest trends after 22 of 24 rounds, Hazarika has secured 87013 votes, establishing a decisive lead over Bubul Das of the Indian National Congress (INC), who continues to trail by a significant margin.

From the early rounds itself, Hazarika built a strong advantage, and importantly, he has sustained that lead throughout the counting process. As a result, the contest in Jagiroad has remained largely one-sided, with no major fluctuations in momentum.

Moreover, Jagiroad, considered a politically significant seat in Assam, appears to have consolidated heavily in favour of the BJP. Analysts suggest that such a wide margin reflects both strong organisational groundwork and consistent voter backing for the party in the region.

With just a couple of rounds remaining, the trend clearly points towards a landslide outcome. Consequently, this performance not only strengthens Hazarika’s individual standing but also reinforces the BJP’s dominance in this crucial constituency.
