In a recent media address, Trump vowed sustained action against Iran. He rules out its nuclear ambitions, claims rapid operational gains, and honours fallen American service members while reaffirming long-term readiness.

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump delivered a statement on the ongoing Iran-Israel tensions. He mournsthe deaths of four American service members while outlining the United States’ military objectives against Iran. Reflecting on repeated failures in nuclear negotiations, Trump said, “We thought we had a deal with Iran, but they backed out multiple times. You can’t deal with these people. You’ve got to do it the right way.”
Paying tribute to the fallen troops, the President reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to completing the mission. “Today, we grieve for the four heroic American service members who have been killed in action. In their memory, we continue this mission with ferocious, unyielding resolve to crush the threat this terrorist regime poses to the American people,” he stated.
Trump emphasized that U.S. military operations are proceeding ahead of schedule, highlighting both speed and efficiency. “Right from the beginning, we projected four to five weeks, but we have the capability to go far longer. We also projected four weeks to terminate the military leadership, which was accomplished in about an hour. We’re ahead of schedule by a lot,” he said.
Describing Iran as a long-standing aggressor, Trump added, “For almost 47 years, this regime has been attacking the United States and killing Americans. General Soleimani, the father of roadside bombs, was terminated in my first term. This was our last best chance to strike and eliminate the intolerable threats posed by this sick and sinister regime.”
Trump also criticised the previous Iran nuclear deal under President Obama. He asserts that, “The regime’s ballistic missile program was growing rapidly, posing a colossal threat to America and our forces overseas. They would have had nuclear weapons three years ago, and they would have used them. But I’ll not let that happen.”
Concluding his remarks, Trump asserted the strength and dominance of the U.S. military. “We have the strongest and most powerful military in the world, and we will easily prevail,” he said. His speech underscores America’s determination to address what he described as an intolerable threat.
