Faith, culture and community drive development: Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass gives Rs 1.50 lakh each to 31 institutions under ‘Asom Darshan’ scheme

Guwahati: Bajali and Bhawanipur–Sarbhog witnessed a significant push for cultural and community development as Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass distributed financial assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh each to 31 institutions under the Asom Darshan scheme.
The support aimed at enhancing infrastructure and sustaining the activities of satras, namghars, and other places of worship, reflects the government’s commitment to preserving Assam’s heritage while fostering stronger community ties.
The initiative, designed to enhance infrastructure and support the spiritual, cultural, and social activities of these institutions, also aims to preserve Assam’s rich heritage while strengthening community bonds.

Expressing satisfaction over the initiative, Das remarked that such measures ensure development reaches grassroots institutions that play a pivotal role in shaping the region’s identity and values.
The programme saw the presence of Deputy Commissioner Mridul Das, Development Commissioner Anupam Deka, Bajali District BJP President Mukut Kalita, and representatives from the beneficiary institutions, who lauded the government’s focus on cultural preservation.
