New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 13 dedicated Seva Teerth to the nation. He describes it as a symbol of duty, compassion, and the guiding principle of Nagrikdevo Bhava, service to citizens, as the highest responsibility. He believes the initiative would serve as a lasting inspiration for selfless service and commitment to the country’s welfare.

During his visit to Seva Teerth, the Prime Minister signed a series of key files aimed at empowering the poor, farmers, youth and women, reaffirming the government’s focus on inclusive growth.

Among the major decisions, the Cabinet approved the launch of the PM RAHAT scheme, which will provide cashless medical treatment of up to Rs 1.5 lakh for accident victims, ensuring immediate and affordable emergency care.

The government also doubled the Lakhpati Didi scheme target to 6 crore women, aimed at strengthening women’s entrepreneurship and financial independence. For farmers, the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund allocation has been increased from Rs 1 lakh crore to Rs 2 lakh crore to enhance storage, supply chains and rural infrastructure, helping raise farm incomes.

In addition, a Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 with a Rs 10,000 crore corpus has been approved to support early-stage startups and deep-tech innovation. The Prime Minister said these measures reflect the spirit of citizen-first governance and will accelerate India’s journey toward building a Viksit Bharat.
