Leaders agree to deepen cooperation; Joint Vision to guide partnership in sustainability, growth and security

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu on Monday received President Patrick Herminie of Seychelles at Rashtrapati Bhavan and hosted a banquet in his honour. The meeting reaffirmed the strong and friendly ties between the two nations.
During their meeting, the two leaders reviewed the existing partnership and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across key sectors. They agreed that there is immense potential to deepen collaboration, particularly in areas of sustainability, economic growth, maritime security and regional stability.

Both sides noted that the recently outlined “India–Seychelles Joint Vision for Sustainability, Economic Growth and Security through Enhanced Linkages” will serve as a robust framework to guide cooperation in the years ahead.
The leaders emphasised closer engagement through enhanced connectivity, development partnerships and strategic collaboration, reflecting the growing importance of India–Seychelles relations in the Indian Ocean region.
The visit and the ceremonial banquet underscored the warmth and mutual trust that continue to define the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
