New facility and entrance gate unveiled to strengthen practical learning and upgrade infrastructure for science students in Dhing

Nagaon: Bechamari Dr A.B. Siddique National School Senior Secondary School in the Dhing region marked a significant milestone in its academic journey with the inauguration of a newly constructed, state-of-the-art science laboratory on February 3, 2026. The facility was formally opened by District Commissioner Shri Devashish Sharma, IAS, addressing a long-standing need of the school’s science students.

Designed as a modern and permanent laboratory, the new space is expected to enhance hands-on learning and practical exposure, enabling students to better understand scientific concepts through experimentation and application. The initiative reflects the school’s continued commitment to strengthening academic infrastructure and improving the quality of education.
On the occasion, the District Commissioner attended the programme as the chief guest and also unveiled the school’s newly built main entrance gate, adding to the institution’s overall development. He later participated in an open meeting with teachers, students, and members of the community.

In his address, the DC encouraged students to cultivate a scientific temperament and embrace practical learning, stressing its importance in today’s highly competitive environment. He appreciated the school authorities for taking proactive steps to upgrade facilities and create a more conducive learning atmosphere.
The event witnessed the presence of Principal Smt. Ujjalata Bora, Secretary Faizul Islam, Vice-Principal Ansar Ahmed, members of the management committee, several distinguished guests, and a large gathering of students and residents made it a proud and memorable day for the institution and the community alike.
