District administration holds orientation and coordination meeting to streamline election preparedness across subdivisions

Jorhat: In view of the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections, the Jorhat district administration has initiated early preparations to ensure a smooth, transparent and efficient electoral process. A comprehensive review and orientation meeting was held in the conference hall of the Jorhat Circuit House, chaired by the District Commissioner.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among officials and outlining key responsibilities related to election management. The discussions centred on preparedness measures, logistical planning, and the effective implementation of election guidelines to facilitate free and fair polling across the district.
Senior administrative and election officials from various subdivisions participated in the deliberations. Those present included the Sub-Divisional Officers of Teok, Titabor and Mariani, the Additional District Commissioner, Circle Officers, Election Officers, Assistant Commissioners, and representatives from other concerned departments.

The meeting emphasised the importance of teamwork, timely execution of duties and strict adherence to the Election Commission’s protocols. He urged all officers to remain vigilant and proactive to ensure that every stage of the electoral process, from planning and deployment to polling and counting, is conducted seamlessly.
The meeting also served as an orientation platform, enabling officials to review operational strategies and clarify roles to avoid last-minute challenges. With coordinated planning and administrative readiness, the district aims to deliver a well-organised election process that upholds democratic values and inspires public confidence.
