Ranoj Pegu Inaugurates Rs 94.2 Lakh School Classrooms in Dhemaji

New classrooms built under the Chief Minister’s Special Fund support six schools, improving learning spaces and strengthening grassroots educational facilities across Dhemaji

Dhemaji: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on 3 March inaugurated newly constructed classrooms in five lower primary schools and one high school. The initiative is developed under the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s Special Fund to enhance educational infrastructure in the district.

The classrooms were built through the Mising Autonomous Council. The event saw the presence of Shri Parmanand Chayengia, Chief Executive Member, along with other council officials. Each classroom has been constructed at a cost of Rs 15.70 lakh. With a total investment of Rs 94.2 lakh, the project aimed at creating better and more comfortable learning environments for students.

The beneficiary institutions include Kongkurpur Lower Primary School, Krishnapur Mising Primary School, Bhakatanala Samguri Primary School, Salmari Primary School, Jiadhal Primary School, and Jiadhal High School.

Speaking on the occasion, Pegu expressed gratitude to the council. He appreciates the council for prioritising education and strengthening school infrastructure at the grassroots level. He said the initiative would improve access to quality education and provide students with safer and more conducive classroom spaces.
