Union Minister Kiren Rijiju accuses the Congress leader of associating with “anti-India forces” during an ANI interview, intensifying tensions as Parliament’s Budget Session faces repeated disruptions.

New Delhi: Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, describing him as “the most dangerous person for India’s security” and alleging that his associations pose a serious threat to the nation.
Speaking to Asian News International amid the stalled Budget Session of the Parliament of India, Rijiju accused Gandhi of maintaining links with anti-India groups, though he did not cite specific evidence.
“Rahul Gandhi has become the most dangerous person for India’s security. He has become a big challenge because he is associated with forces that are anti-India. You go to America, you go to Europe, and even within the country, there are Naxalites, left-wing extremists, radical ideologues, foundations and several NGOs that conspire to weaken India. Rahul Gandhi is seen interacting with and meeting such people. Whenever he travels abroad, he meets those who raise anti-India voices, including people supporting Khalistani forces and extreme Islamic groups. This naturally poses a threat to the country,” Rijiju said.
He also criticised Gandhi’s protests inside Parliament, calling acts such as sit-ins and throwing papers “childish,” and contrasted them with what he described as the decorum of past Congress leaders.
The remarks, part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s broader criticism of Gandhi, triggered sharp political reactions and online debate. Meanwhile, the session continues to face disruptions over border and trade-related issues, further heightening tensions in Parliament.
