PM engages Saudi and Bahraini leaders, condemns attacks and pushes for swift restoration of peace

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. In a social media post, he termed the strikes violations of sovereignty. He called for the earliest restoration of regional peace and stability.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke with leaders in West Asia as tensions escalated across the region. the PM held separate telephone conversations with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
During his call with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Modi strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia. He said the strikes violated the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Both leaders reviewed the fast-changing regional situation and stressed the urgent need to restore peace and stability. They agreed that dialogue and restraint remain essential to prevent further escalation. Modi also thanked the Saudi leadership for ensuring the safety and welfare of the large Indian community living and working there.

In a separate conversation with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister condemned the attacks on Bahrain. He further expressed India’s firm solidarity with its people. He conveyed concern over regional instability and reiterated India’s support for peace efforts. Modi appreciated the Bahraini government’s continued care and protection of Indians residing in the country.
The outreach formed part of India’s broader diplomatic engagement amid rising security concerns in West Asia. New Delhi continues to monitor the situation closely and remains committed to safeguarding its citizens and promoting regional stability through cooperation and dialogue.
