Himanta Biswa Sarma Distributes MMUA Aid To 5,155 Women in Jalukbari

Alongside the event, seven digital portals were launched, and a new volume of the CM’s speeches was unveiled

Guwahati: Himanta Biswa Sarma, on March 12, ceremonially distributed financial assistance to 5,155 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantrir Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan (MMUA) at an event held in Jalukbari, further strengthening the state’s push for women-led entrepreneurship.

With the latest distribution, entrepreneurship capital under the scheme has now reached 29,33,999 women across 119 Assembly constituencies in Assam, helping them build self-reliant livelihoods and expand small businesses.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also launched seven digital portals aimed at simplifying and digitising administrative processes of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Assam. Officials said the new platforms will enhance efficiency, transparency and service delivery in rural development programmes.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also unveiled “Mukhyamantrir Baktita Sankalan 4 & 5”, a compilation of selected speeches delivered by him. The 855-page volume brings together 100 speeches delivered between May 2024 and March 2026, highlighting Assam’s development journey and the vision of the Government of Assam for the state’s future.

Officials described the publication as a record of key policy directions and milestones that have shaped the state’s governance and development narrative.

The initiatives signal a broader push by the Government of Assam to promote women-led growth, strengthen grassroots governance and accelerate the state’s development trajectory.
