District Reviews Arrangements Ahead of CM’s Development-Focused Nagaon Visit

District administration reviews preparations for February 15 visit and major public meeting at Nehru Bali Playground

Nagaon: A high-level review meeting was convened by the district administration to streamline preparations ahead of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s scheduled visit to Nagaon on February 15, where he will inaugurate several key development projects and address a major public rally.

The meeting was held on February 13 at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s office and was chaired by District Commissioner Devashish Sharma. Senior officials, including the District Development Commissioner, Additional District Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Circle Officers, Executive Officers and representatives from various departments, took part in the discussions.

Detailed planning covered coordination among departments, security measures, venue management, traffic regulation and the overall execution of the day-long schedule to ensure the smooth conduct of all programmes.

During the visit, the Chief Minister will inaugurate multiple development initiatives aimed at boosting local infrastructure and public services. He is also scheduled to address a large public gathering at the historic Nehrubali Playground, where significant public participation is expected.

Officials stressed seamless coordination and timely execution, underscoring the administration’s commitment to making the visit productive, well-organised and beneficial for the people of the district.
