Day 3 Sees Massive Turnout as Assam CM’s ‘Jana Ashirwad Yatra’ Gains Momentum

Crowds gather along the route from Gohpur to Nowboicha as the Chief Minister seeks public blessings, interacts with residents and highlights the government’s development initiatives across the state

Gohpur: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma continued leading the BJP’s Jana Ashirwad Yatra through Upper Assam on Day 3, drawing large crowds and enthusiastic public response. The yatra started from Gohpur and passed through Bihpuria and Ranganadi before reaching Nowboicha, with hundreds of people lining the streets to greet the CM and his convoy.

The Chief Minister described the turnout as “historic” and unprecedented in his 25-year political career, saying people’s support reflects appreciation for the work his government has done over the years. He emphasised the yatra’s goal of seeking blessings from the public ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.

Party workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party and local leaders accompanied the procession, while brief interactions with residents marked the day’s journey. A touching moment also emerged when the Chief Minister gifted his watch to a young student who had come to meet him.

Overall, the Day 3 march reinforced strong grassroots engagement and continued vocal support from diverse sections of society, as supporters expressed confidence in the CM’s leadership and the BJP’s vision for Assam’s future.
