Assam CM Unveils Smart Assembly Complex: Launches AI Platform ‘ALISA’

Modern infrastructure, digital records system and interactive museum unveiled to enhance efficiency and celebrate Assam’s democratic legacy

Guwahati: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday inaugurated a revamped, technology-driven ecosystem at the Assam Legislative Assembly complex in Guwahati, opening a new Secretariat building, an AI-powered legislative intelligence platform, and an interactive Digital Museum.

The multi-storey Secretariat is designed to enhance coordination and administrative efficiency, enabling smoother conduct of Assembly business. Complementing this, ALISA, the AI for Legislative Intelligence System of Assam, will provide instant access to nearly a century of legislative debates, documents and archives in Assamese, Bodo, Hindi and English, making research faster and more seamless for lawmakers and officials.

The Digital Museum captures Assam’s democratic evolution through immersive displays and lifelike recreations of key moments and personalities that shaped the state’s political history.

Sharing the development online, the Chief Minister invited the public to visit the museum, noting that new-age technology has been used to vividly recreate the legislature’s legacy, with several depictions appearing strikingly realistic.
