First-of-its-kind centre aligned with National Education Policy and NIPUN Bharat Mission focuses on foundational skills through local culture and child-centric learning

Itanagar: Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated a Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Centre at Doimukh to ensure every child achieves basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills by the end of Grade 3.
Aligned with national education reforms, the centre integrates local Arunachal culture with modern, play-based and child-centric pedagogy, while promoting mother-tongue instruction, continuous assessment and teacher capacity building.
Developed through a collaborative effort, the initiative received support from NHPC Limited, HDFC Bank, the United Fund, LADF of the Pare Hydro Project and CSR contributions.
The Chief Minister acknowledged the role of local representatives and district authorities, especially the District Administration under DC Visakha Yadav, for turning the vision into reality.
