The innovation challenge will bring together school students from across Assam to explore ideas, solve real-world problems and develop practical solutions through teamwork, creativity and technology

Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Saturday launched the dedicated registration portal for the Assam School Hackathon, opening the initiative to students from Classes VI to XII.
The hackathon, launched at the Sri Sri Madhavadeva International Auditorium at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, is being organised by Samagra Shiksha Axom in collaboration with IIT Delhi as part of the nationwide Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
Students will compete across three categories: Junior (Classes VI–VIII), Emerging (IX–X) and Advanced (XI–XII) with teams allowed to have up to five members. Participants can register through the dedicated portal and work on challenges under 12 themes.
The initiative aims to encourage creativity, problem-solving and collaborative learning by enabling students to develop practical solutions to real-world challenges.
Pegu thanked the Department of School Education, Samagra Shiksha Axom and IIT Delhi for bringing the innovation-focused platform to students across Assam.
