AAP chief says court cleared all charges and calls the case fabricated and politically driven

New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday sharply criticised the ruling establishment after the court dismissed the excise policy case and discharged all the accused.
Calling the allegations false, Kejriwal said, “For the past several years, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) kept repeating ‘liquor scam’ and levelled allegations against us. Today, the court has dismissed all those charges and discharged every accused.”
Targeting the Centre, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader alleged a larger conspiracy against his party. “Modi ji and Amit Shah ji together hatched the biggest political conspiracy in independent India to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party. The top leaders of our party were sent to jail. Even a sitting Chief Minister was dragged out of his home and put behind bars,” he said.
Referring to former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Kejriwal said, “Manish Sisodia was kept in jail for nearly two years. The entire case against us was fabricated. Mud was thrown at us constantly. Television channels ran debates round the clock, repeatedly claiming that I was corrupt.”
Asserting his integrity, Kejriwal said, “In my life, I have earned only honesty. False cases were filed against us, and today the truth has been proven. Today, the court confirmed that Kejriwal, Sisodia, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are completely honest.”
He also appealed to the Prime Minister to focus on governance rather than political battles. “If you want power, then do good work and earn it honestly. Do not play games with the country or tamper with the Constitution for the sake of power,” he said.
Highlighting national concerns, Kejriwal added, “There is inflation, unemployment, broken roads and rising pollution. Solve these problems before seeking power. Filing false cases and sending opponents to jail does not suit a Prime Minister. The country will progress only when people’s problems are addressed.”
